HBO Max has announced that a new version of '70s teen drama Degrassi (yes, another one) is on the way in 2023. Meanwhile Peacock has commissioned a pilot for a brand new version of sci-fi classic Quantum Jump.
Few details are known about either series at the moment, though information technology's clear from the announcement that Quantum Jump is a sequel serial, following the continuity of the original 1989 series. It refers to Dr Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) leaping through time thirty years earlier and will focus on a new squad restarting the projection to try and understand what happened to him.
The thought of reviving Breakthrough Leap has been thrown around for about 20 years now, with Syfy announcing development on a Tv set flick in 2002 — with the goal of using information technology as a backdoor pilot for a possible Television series.
